TEAM CAPTAIN’S PREROGATIVE
BY LUTTEURAU
Yeah, I’ll be the first to admit it. I’m an arrogant fuckin’ bastard. But hell, team captain two seasons in a row. Regional champ last year. Goddamn! I’m entitled. And hey, ain’t no one here at Stockton Academy who comes even close to toppin’ my record…where it counts…on the mats.
Coach Anderson reckons I’m what he calls “Olympic material”. But that’s between you and me, OK?
It ain’t come effortless though. No way. This fuckin’ A-grade wrestler works out every day, and then some. Last Friday f’rinstance. After practice I put in two extra hours on the weights. Pushing out killer sets on the bench. Mitch, he’s my teammate, kept yelling out encouragement.
“Lookin’ fine buddy”, he enthused, as the over-stacked bar rattled noisily back into place. By the end of the session I’d worked my pecs to within an inch of their goddamn lives. Worked ‘em ‘til a wall of sweat washed down over my abs. ‘Til my sweaty singlet was damn near glued to my fThread: Professional Wrestling Is Gay?

You know I was watching WWE Raw the other week and I saw Edge get in Randy Orton's face they were in kissing distance of each other and they looked like a gay couple.
So I verb you guys are right pro wrestling is a little gay but at least these wrestlers don't make out with each other on tv because then pro wrestling would be completely gay.Last edited by The Fat Bioware Nerd; at AM.

Thread: Professional Wrestling Is Gay?
Real wrestling is more gay than professional/fake wrestling.
Anyway, in the West, many male vs. male sports can trace some, if not most, of their aspects to classical Greece, where men oiled themselves up and often competed naked, as well as where homosexuality was at least tolerable, if not outright accepted.
Even in sports where athletes were not competing against each other one on one, it wasn't simply about who was fastest or strongestit was about appreciating the magnificence of the human form. Greeks were not ashamed of appreciating a man's proportions or muscle toneheck, we even give a nod to it today when we define a muscular male as "chiseled", "sculpted", or "cut", that is, fond (one of those nude Greek) statues.
So if you wanted to call appreciation of masculinity by competitors and spectators as homoerotic, then I would have to tell that many sports are inherently "gay." Wrestling is just probably the most obvious.
