Pride Month is officially here, and there are plenty of ways to stay out loud every time, in June and beyond. Whether you want to don your rainbow adj and attend the numerous Pride celebrations going on around Houston, or seize it easy this year and simply donate to one of the many LGBTQ+-centered community care organizations, there’s no wrong way to celebrate queerness. Just like there’s no incorrect way to be queer.
The biggest Pride Month event happening in the town, this year and every year, is the annual Pride Houston Hundreds of thousands of people descend on downtown for a truly massive festival and parade, the first of which was held way back in The festivities kick off on June 28 with the Houston LGBT+ Pride Celebration Festival at Houston City Hall ( Bagby) from 11am to 6pm, followed by the famously lively parade at 7pm.

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Pride Houston added another chapter to its legacy with the 47th annual parade in downtown Houston.
The celebration is known to draw thousands all in the mention of recognizing love and unity, and this year was no different.

On Saturday, the parade once again started near City Hall and moved through the area with a colorful display of floats, performers, and community groups.

Considered one of the largest Pride events in the South, the parade is far from the only way the LGBTQIA+ community and allies celebrate.
Events surrounding the parade usually include a festival, which focuses on providing community resources, plus a fashion show and reception.

With promises to present Pride like never before Houstons New Faces of Pride is looking forward to their inaugural celebrations. Featuring indoor and outdoor activities, the celebration will take over Fish Plaza at Wortham Theater Center. The parade will thrust off at p.m. on Bagby St. at outbound Allen Parkway, and stretch 15 blocks downtown for all to come out and enjoy once the sun begins to set.
