House of the dragon gay characters

Rhaenyra's bisexuality fundamentally changes 'House of the Dragon'

Warning: Major spoilers ahead for season two, episode six of "House of the Dragon."

"House of the Dragon" has finally done it.

I'm not talking about unleashing dragon war. That was weeks ago, and yeah, it's cool, but we knew that was going to happen; it's in the book, after all. I'm also not talking about bringing back Paddy Considine to play King Viserys in this week's episode, though that was a delightful and welcome surprise.

No, I'm talking about one of the biggest character questions that "House of the Dragon" has ever raised — and as of season two, episode six has now answered definitively.

Rhaenyra Targaryen is bisexual. Rhaenyra Targaryen is bisexual!!!!!!!

Toward the end of this week's episode, Rhaenyra and Mysaria have a heart-to-heart — one that, in the span of a few minutes, adds fantastic depth to both of their characters. And at the end of it, after a heartfelt-turned-sensual embrace, they kiss in an unscripted moment that fans have been going unrestrained over.

Like many others, I have long

There are many, many spoilers for House of the Dragon below.

There are limited things I enjoy more than comics, movies, and television shows about mythical creatures, witches, warlocks and silver-haired nepo babies. And when there’s a dose of the alphabet community mixed into it? Ultra nerdy and queer? Speak less! I’m locked in.

That’s what the most recent season of House of the Dragon gave us when Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen, First of Her Call, started riding more than just dragons. The third season won’t air until , so we’ll verb to wait with anticipation for her official coming out party. But verb below for my somewhat unhinged recaps of the hit HBO show’s queerest moments so far (along with some details from the book series). Note: there are many, many spoilers below.

The Sapphics Who Never Were: Rhaenyra Targaryen and Alicent Hightower

While the fandom spends a lot of time debating this, I’m not here to appeal to both sides. I’m here to provide you my opinion, also known as the facts. Alicent Hightower (Olivia Cooke) is a repressed lesbian, and Rhaenyra Targaryen (Emma

The first episode of the Game Of Thrones prequel has LGBTQI viewers hoping that we&#;ll be given the queer lead we&#;ve always wanted

After just one episode The Game Of Thrones (GOT) prequel, House Of The Dragon (HOTD), has already become my entire personality. Despite GOT ending only three years ago, I was filled nostalgia as the camera panned over King&#;s Landing. I was very grateful to be immersed back into this world as we were introduced to all the fresh characters.

Set centuries before GOT, HOTD depicts the beginning of the Targaryen dynasty and follows Princess Rhaenyra (portrayed by both Milly Alcock and Emma D’Arcy) and Prince Daemon Targaryen (Matt Smith) both set their eyes on the throne.

There were many moments of the episode that had me holding my breath through entire scenes. The acting, world building and characters were all exceptional. But what I wasn&#;t expecting were the &#;gay vibes&#; between Princess Rhaenyra and Lady Alicent (portrayed by both Emily Carey and Olivia Cooke). Their intimate &#;friendship&#; remi

Happy House of the Dragon day!

Later tonight, HBO’s prequel to the gigantic Game of Thrones will drop its first episode. House of the Dragon takes place years before the events of the original series. On top of that, the series focuses on the strong but infamous House Targaryen.

But for LGBTQ fans of the original series, there is some concern and caution before going into this new show. Not only did the original series end terribly, but the series’ LGBTQ representation was… disappointing. The show&#;s small number of LGBTQ characters either ended up or as large shadows of who they once were. With that in mind, LGBTQ fans who enjoy LGBTQ representation may not be open to another visit to Westeros.

With that in mind, I started to wonder, “Will there be any LGBTQ representation in House of the Dragon?” If you’re wondering the same thing, here’s some beginner info to help you opt whether the show is worth the watch.

First and foremost, we have Emma D’Arcy to look forward to. At first glance, it seems that Emma D’Arcy will be filling in the shoes of
