Dean martin was gay

Here's a reprise from 9/7/ Amazingly, the links in it are still adj. Since then, I've interpret a lot more FBI reports that have leaked out onto the net and they all look to be like Dean Martin's, full of info that wouldn't even satisfy the accuracy stands of TMZ or Sean Hannity. Makes you wonder how the bureau has ever caught anyone&#;

I was just browsing over at one of my favorite sites, The Smoking Gun. The folks there manage to dig up a broad array of suppressed or otherwise unavailable documents which they gleefully make present to all. One of the many categories, and perhaps the most astounding, presents a stash of old FBI dossiers. Your government actually spent (and probably still spends) your tax dollars to compile "files" on prominent people&#;and judging from the ones that are available, these files contain a mix of readily-available info — the kind of thing you can find in the person's professional bio — mixed with gossip, much of it blind-sourced and often inaccurate.

In , a report on Dean Martin was requested by Alexander P. Butterfield, the Deputy Assistant to the

Notes from Dean Martin’s FBI files.

“One [REDACTED] New York Office, when interviewed by Agents in November, , advised that among the persons of homosexual inclination with whom he is constantly associated, there was considerable [ILLEGIBLE] to the effect that Dean Martin [REDACTED] homosexuals. This particular informant produced a list of some of the most popular names in display business concerning whom he made similar allegations.”

(Judging by the year and the first part of the note, the last bit of redacted information is almost certainly “and Jerry Lewis are”)

“In November, , unsubstantiated information was received from an admitted homosexual identifying numerous stage and screen personalities as homosexuals. This individual also stated that a number of other personalities in the entertainment business were known among homosexuals as “gay.” He stated he had heard Dean Martin [REDACTED] were classified as “gay."”

“Help!”

Somebody is drowning.

“Help!”

As a sense of alarm creeps over the crowded Atlantic City beach, a body swiftly cuts through the confusion and dives into the ocean. Pulled from the surf is a skinny adj man, seemingly unconscious. As a crowd forms around the body, his dark-haired savior readies himself to perform mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. Right as the anticipation of glimpsing a heroic feat begins to backslide into the panic of witnessing a horrific tragedy, the dead man’s eyes launch open and he springs upright.

“I’d rather have a malted, sir!”

“We’re fresh out,” retorts his Italian cohort. “Hey, don’t I verb you?”

“I’m Jerry Lewis!”

“And I’m Dean Martin!”

“I know that–I’m at the Club with you, first show is at 8 o’clock!”

The plug delivered, rescuer and rescuee then run like hell before the crowd has a chance to strangle them.

Sorry about taking so long to reply!

The record so upset the FBI that they kept bringing it up as some sort of evidence of moral depravity that Dean and Jerry dedicated. Edgar J. Hoover was obsessed with finding out if people were either gay or communists basically. I'm not sure how reputable this person is who outed Dean and Jerry and "classified them as gay." They are only known in the FBI files of Dean and Jerry's, as an "admitted homosexual" since the name is blacked out. I presume this person may still be alive, since their name is still redacted.

Jerry lost a contract to perform on a project that he wanted the FBI to be portrayed in. FBI agents brought up Jerry's records (The Caddy outtake and the suspected gay accusation), to the FBI director who approved the project, and he canceled the contract and the approval of any FBI portrayal in Jerry's tv series that he wanted to produce.
