Back to Pride was on everybodys lips before the annual Tel Aviv Pride Parade, and with over , participants with equipped with sunscreen and water bottles, the motto did not disappoint. Ron Huldai, the Mayor of Tel Aviv-Yafo, signalled the 10 colourful floats adorned with electrifying decorations and manned by irresistible dancers and performers of all sorts to start their engines, and kick off the iconic Parade. As the floats left the Sporteque, the music was turned up gathering crowds to march in celebration of all that has been achieved but also to support the continued struggle for equal rights for all members of the LGBTQIA+ community.

A spokesperson for Tel Aviv Mayor Ron Huldai told France "Tel Aviv has always been and will always be a welcoming home to all trans people, lesbians, gay men, queer people and non-binary folks.
"Here they will always matter, here they are always welcome."
Australian rapper Iggy Azalea performed for the crowds in the late afternoon alongside a host of Israeli stars, taking the stage in Hayarkon Park.
When asked about the Boycott, Divest, Sanctions (BDS) campaign in an interview with Israel's Channel 12, Azalea reportedly responded: "BDS? What is that? Cause I don't know much, but I'm really happy to enter and see for myself, I'm excited to experience something new."
She added: "I know a lot of my fans belong to the LGBT community and I feel a special connection to them. I believe maybe it's because I was an outsider, that I came a distant way from being an underdog, maybe it's something they can identify with."

Tel Aviv mayor cancels city’s pride parade ‘out of respect’ to hostages
The annual parade is normally considered a highlight of the city’s calendar, drawing in a crowd of tens of thousands of locals and visitors from all over the world. For the last 25 years, the street festivities possess celebrated Israel’s LGBTQ+ community.

“This year we decided to divert part of the budget intended for the production of the pride parade, in favour of the activities of the "Pride Center" in Tel Aviv-Yafo.”
The Pride Centre offers a home to the LGBTQ+ community in Tel Aviv-Jaffa and the surrounding areas. It is an umbrella organisation for local LGBTQ+ activity and social involvement, as successfully as counselling services.
